THE VISION

Stemming from the combination of [MEGA] Man and Daft [PUNK] - originally used as my Xbox Live gamertag, it has stuck with me throughout the years and I believe it is the perfect name for this fashion label I am creating and developing.

MEGAPUNK is a fashion focused label that represents a fusion of cyberpunk themes and aesthetics with pop culture references and elements.

I was raised on pop culture, the internet, and video games like many people my age and that has had the heaviest effect on me

I chose cyberpunk as it is the genre that has spoke to and resonated with me the most over time.
I fell in love with a lot of the costume and futuristic fashion pieces that were in these pieces of media and I wanted to take that inspiration and make something of my own that would fit in to those near future realities.

As for my experience with fashion:
I experienced the hype beast and post hype beast eras from a far and that was my first exposure to fashion, primarily through one of my biggest inspirations: YEEZY. I also spent a ton of time customizing my characters in each game I could - notably GTA and Splatoon.

The brand name MEGAPUNK comes from 2 of my biggest inspirations: MEGA man and daft PUNK. Ironically both are robots or at least androids.
